We were traveling and happened upon Catfish Roundup. There was ample parking. When we went in, there was a quaint gift shop and an aquarium with a giant catfish. The folks at the diner were friendly and courteous and johnny on the spot. There was a little lady who walked around and served sweet cake "donut holes" before the meal. Also she served fresh hot rolls straight from the pan during the meal. The catfish was lightly breaded, hot and plentiful. The coleslaw was sweet and flavorful. Beans were superb. I would highly recommend Catfish Roundup.

What a nice place for a Sunday afternoon ride. The Catfish fillets are tender and flaky on the inside, while the golden breading offers just the right amount of crunch. The all you can eat hot rolls and fritters are a definite bonus.

The food was fresh and hot. Service was outstanding. When you are seated, they drop hot apple fritters at your table. They melt in your mouth. I'd come back for these alone. I had chicken fried chicken. It did not disappoint. Crispy and delicious. When your meal arrives, they come back with hot dinner rolls. Yum! There's a little gift shop inside too.

Quaint little restaurant that has seen many customers! Food was wonderful. We spontaneously stopped as we were traveling through on Mother’s Day. We got in early before the crowds. Fast friendly service. The apple fritters and rolls were fabulous! The catfish was some of the best!! Definitely will be back!

Wow! There were 8 of us that arrived before opening time to grab lunch before we parted ways off our 3 day stay at an Airbnb. What a wonderful surprise!! Just off the exit 200 on I-40 and the food was super delicious. And the service was over the top.

Hospitality and food was great! Ordered ribeye steak med rare and a rack of ribs to go! ...9.9 napkins on ribs

My husband and I along with 2 other couples from. Eastern North Carolina had dinner here on May 9, 2025. It was absolutely delicious. A young blonde girl was our waitress and she was phenomenal. A young lady named Ryan gave us hot apple fritter balls (I think) and hot rolls. The guys said the catfish was great, the grilled chicken and cheeseburger was too. We are headed to the Grand Canyon but will stop and eat on our way back home.

Great restaurant right off I-40 and Exit 200. Complimentary apple fritters and delicious dinner rolls are offered. It’s hard to eat just one. The Chicken Fried steak was great, and the gravy was delicious as well. The catfish batter had great flavor. Next time you’re in the area, don’t pass this place up. The waitresses are friendly and offer great suggestions.
